Refresher Webinar for the Provocholine (methacholine) Challenge Test
This webinar is intended for technologist familiar with the methacholine challenge with questions or needing a review. It also provides an introduction to PFT labs considering adding the Provocholine (methacholine) Challenge to their testing options.
The presentation is 30 minutes and there will be time for questions afterward.

FeNO Information Session
This webinar will be an introduction to FeNO. Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) is a measurement of the level of inflammatory markers in exhaled breath. FeNO is proving to be an increasingly important marker for airway inflammation. The measurements can be used to support the diagnoses of allergic and eosinophilic asthma and provide individualized therapy. Providing physicians with a quick, non-invasive measurement of airway inflammation, FeNO can help ensure that patients receive the correct diagnosis, medications and treatment needed. Respiratory Therapists can utilize FeNO measurements when educating patients on why medication adherence, avoiding triggers and maintaining a healthy life-style is essential.
The presentation is 30 minutes and there will be time for questions afterward.

Rethinking Asthma, Endotypes and Phenotypes
Duration: 1 hour
This education webinar awards 1 CRCE, PFT content specific
Phenotypes of asthma, exercise induced bronchoconstriction(EIB), allergic, occupational, non-allergic, etc. are familiar in clinical practice. However, understanding why patients with EIB, for example, may respond differently to the same treatment remains unclear. Identifying the mechanism behind the condition can help guide precise – targeted treatment of asthma patients.

Diagnosing Asthma. Spirometry is Normal, Now What?
How do we diagnose asthma? Research and guidelines tell us we should not diagnose asthma based on symptoms alone. What objective tests should be utilized? Spirometry with bronchodilator is the first test. But what if it is normal and the patient is still reporting symptoms? What comes next? The bronchial challenge tests provide objective information which should be included to diagnose patients. Learn about direct and indirect challenges test during this webinar and how they can assist in properly diagnosing your patients.
